Some destinations look exactly like the photos. And then there are the Maldives, even better up close. Turquoise water, white sand, palm trees and a small tropical island that becomes your whole world for a few days. No group, no schedule, no early alarms. Based at Bandos Maldives, minutes by speedboat from Malé, you have four full nights at your own pace. Honeymoon, anniversary or just an escape for two: the place itself is the experience.

Practical, no small print
Speedboat transfer to and from Malé airport, just a few minutes away.
Travel to the Maldives requires a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
The Visa on Arrival (VoA) is free and can be obtained either online—we will send you the relevant form after you express your interest—or upon arrival at the airport.
Travellers who do not hold a Greek passport or a passport issued by an EU country should contact the relevant embassy or consulate, as different entry requirements may apply.
The Maldives have a tropical climate, with sunshine throughout the year, although on rare occasions you may experience a brief tropical storm.
For your trip to the Maldives, pack:
- Lightweight, breathable clothing, swimwear, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- Comfortable shoes, plus flip-flops or sandals for the beach
- Sportswear for the gym, tennis courts and the island’s other sports facilities
- A lightweight raincoat, as brief tropical showers are possible
- A light jacket or cardigan for the flight or air-conditioned spaces
The hotel offers Wi-Fi coverage throughout the property. However, we recommend installing an eSIM before your trip, provided your phone supports it. The best-value eSIM options are Vodafone Travel, MyeSIM and Revolut, but you’re welcome to compare other options.
You can pay for personal expenses and any activities by card directly at the resort, or charge them to your room and settle the bill upon departure.
As with any trip abroad, it’s a good idea to bring a small personal medical kit containing the basic medicines you normally use.
Suggested items include painkillers, fever reducers, medication for nausea or stomach upsets, any regular medication and a small first-aid kit.
Anyone taking regular medication should bring enough for the entire trip and follow their doctor’s instructions.

Greek citizens are granted a free tourist visa on arrival for up to 30 days, provided they meet the entry requirements. mdvmission.gov.mv You will need a passport, a return ticket, confirmed prepaid accommodation and a completed free Traveller Declaration submitted through IMUGA within the 96 hours before arrival.
